Started in 2006, NYU’s National Immigration Law Competition (ILC) is the NYU Moot Court Board’s annual external moot court competition, open to teams from ABA-accredited law schools other than NYU Law. The ILC focuses on cutting-edge issues in the field of immigration law and is judged by panels of distinguished NYU alumni and legal practitioners from throughout New York. The final round is judged by federal appellate and district court judges.
From February 3rd through February 5th, 2023, NYU School of Law will host student teams from law schools across the country at the 18th Annual Immigration Law Competition. While we are currently planning ILC as an in-person event, the competition may be changed to a remote format or offer an option for remote audience attendance depending on public health guidance and NYU policies.
